Through this program, participating states were granted funding to create clinics that offer a wide range of services,   States that participate include Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Pennsylvania

2. Nonprofit Organizations

The following are nonprofit organizations that offer support group and resources at little to no cost.

– -NAMI.org provide free support groups and resources.

– Mental Health America (MHA) offers resources and support for finding low-cost mental health services.

dbsallaince.org offers in person support groups in some states and online support groups without cost.

3. University Counseling Centers

Graduate programs in psychology, counseling, or social work may offer services provided by supervised students. Go start your search use the following search term “colleges, and universities that provide low cost, and sliding scale counseling.”

4. Online Counseling Services

There are for profit online counseling platfroms that list low-cost counseling as services offered.  Go find reviews of these groups use  ”[Website Name] reviews),” “(website name user reviews,” “(website name) feedback,” “(website name) pros and cons,” (“website name) ratings”

If you use  quotation marks around a term or phrase, search engines will prioritize results that include that exact phrase, helping you find more specific and relevant reviews.

5. Religious and Spiritual Organizations

Some religious institutions offer counseling services that are often free or based on donations.  Catholic charities provides counseling services based on income across the country.  The services are open to everyone.  To access them, go to catholicharitiesusa.org and follow prompts.

6. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

If you are employed, check if your employer offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). These programs often provide a limited number of free counseling sessions.
